Door closers and automatics at The Theatre of Dreams - Old Trafford

A stadium provides both architecture and an aura which accumulates over the years.  The Old Trafford Stadium has it like no other.  It was here that Manchester United waited for 26 long years without a major title until its recent success.  For the club, the theatre of dreams is and always will remain the focus of the action.  While other famous arenas are replaced, Manchester United is keeping close guard over its venue.  Extension work continues alongside match fixtures. 

Prominent Features

The capacity of the 60-metre high North Stand has been increased to 26,000 seats.  Next came the second tier of the East and West Grandstands and the Manchester United Megastore.  At the heart of it all are DORMA KTV revolving doors, AD4000 panic hardware, ES90 automatic sliding door operators and DORMA TS71, TS72, TS83 and TS93 door closers, (supplied by Lloyd Worrall Ltd).

Old Trafford can look forward to a long future: the rebuilding of the main South Stand would increase the stadium’s capacity from 68,000 to 90,000 spectators.
