100% DESIGN - Exciting new DORMA Glass products on Stand J130

DORMA UK Limited is best known for its market leading automatics and door control solutions, but the company has other fast expanding divisions as well. Glass is one and they are lining up some exciting new products for 100% Design at Earl’s Court this September.

Take the GRAL CRISTALLO Lightline…

The ingenious use of LED technology combined with sophisticated glass design makes it possible to have illuminated glass elements for shower doors and shower units. Controlled by an adjustable electronics module, uniformly glowing glass surfaces emit an alternating pattern of colours that can be modified to create an almost infinite number of variants. With the interplay of light and shade, movement and illumination, alternating colours and texture, glass really does come to life and effectively allows the creation of a new bathroom every day.

New countersunk hinge…

DORMA already offers a wide choice of brass hinges coated in a range of finishes for the GRAL shower system range. They are designed to work with flat or curved glass and provide a high quality, robust fixing solution, yet are as minimal and unobtrusive as possible to maximise the effect of the full glass panels.

A new addition though is the BO 415 hinge which features a countersunk fixing for a flush finish between the fitting and inner glass surface. This minimises the hardware within the shower and allows for far easier cleaning.
There are two new compact glass door systems…

DORMA BEYOND is a functional, extremely attractive and unique glass door system that combines modern, attractive design with maximum safety and stability. There is no risk of pinched fingers with the swing doors, as the pivot-point of the patented door fitting is so close to the glass edge that the nip hazard usually associated with swing doors is completely eliminated. The BEYOND range is characterised by its clear styling lines and offers an elegant solution in all situations, whether private or public, modern or traditional.

DORMA AGILE 50 is a sliding door system so slender that even small doors appear to be generously proportioned. It is designed for tight spaces and has a track rail of just 50 mm in height. The system is easy to install and requires no glass preparation. It is available in various anodised shades, or powder-coated in a range of colours, enabling it to be perfectly matched to its surroundings. The system provides a discrete solution for both private and public applications and is perfectly at home in wet rooms as well (EN 1670, Class 4).

and the ever popular MANET…

A minimalist system that can be used to create toughened sliding or pivoting glass doors and partitions. The key feature of the system is the MANET countersunk single-point fixing which unobtrusively connects and supports the glass. This stainless steel product has neat aesthetics and flexibility in both specification and installation. The sliding door roller travels almost silently along the track, while the pivoting door system has a central pivot point for a reduced finger-pinch hazard.

The original MANET system, launched in 1998, has always been popular with interior designers and last year saw the launch of MANET Neu – a contemporary re-design of the original system with softer design lines and improved installation benefits.

Shortlisted for a RIBA award…

Moving away from glass, DORMA will also be demonstrating their revolutionary new MOVEO movable wall system in the adjacent 100% Detail which offers architects, designers, installers and end-users a unique lightweight, flexible and easy to operate movable wall solution with good sound insulation.
