Two Brand New Compact Glass Door Systems from DORMA
BEYOND – Pinch free pivoting and balanced sliding
 Safe, functional and extremely attractive, DORMA BEYOND is a unique glass door system, offering swing or sliding alternatives. The development of BEYOND has been shaped by the search for a solution that combines modern, attractive design with maximum safety and stability. With swing doors, there is no risk of pinched fingers, as the pivot-point of the patented door fitting is so close to the glass edge that the nip hazard usually associated with swing doors is completely eliminated. BEYOND has been developed for glass thicknesses of 8 to 10 mm and up to 80 kg in weight and can be abutted to existing masonry or integrated with all-glass partitions.
BEYOND comes with two alternative fitting designs, a continuous pivot rod or a short rod option. In both cases, the system can be used for both single and double leaf doors – with a single or double action – and it combines most effectively with DORMA floor springs.
For sliding doors, DORMA BEYOND has a round profile fitting, optimised door movement and is almost silent in operation. Designed to harmonise with the BEYOND pivot rod which supports the roller carrier. The articulated mounting of the roller carrier guarantees equal loading of the two parallel-running rollers, ensuring that the centre of gravity of the door is always completely in balance.
The BEYOND range is characterised by its systematic design and clear styling lines and offers an elegant solution in all situations, whether private or public, modern or traditional.
AGILE 50 – designed for tight spaces
With a track rail of just 50 mm in height, the new AGILE 50 system from DORMA is a sliding door system so slender that even small doors appear to be generously proportioned. Concealed within the aluminium track profile, the clamp-type fittings and roller carrier unit are designed for glass thicknesses of 8 to 10mm and up to 50 kg in weight.
It is easy to install and no glass preparation is required either. Operation is almost silent and, thanks to a special stop assembly, the precise latching of the door in its end position makes the AGILE 50 the perfect solution for restricted space applications. It is available in various anodised shades, or powder-coated in a range of colours, enabling it to be perfectly matched to its surroundings. The system provides a discrete solution for both private and public applications and is perfectly at home in wet rooms as well (EN 1670, Class 4).
