MAME is an exciting acquisition for DORMA Glass

The Glass Division of DORMA, with its already extensive range of fittings and systems, has been expanding fast in recent years. That growth is now further accelerated with the acquisition of MAME Türdesign GmbH, the German market leader in surface treated glass doors.
MAME uses elaborate sandblasting techniques, such as deep sandblasting and a new process – flow sandblasting – to create extremely high quality surfaces. The company has built a reputation for totally innovative design ideas, and when combined with an extensive choice of door and frame collections, the synergy that can be achieved with the existing DORMA range is certainly an exciting proposition for architects and designers in the UK.

Some of the styles for example, playfully incorporate textiles in an all-glass door, and the results are effectively works of art, which can create enormously interesting finishes and bring total individuality to a room. There is even a crystal glass finish option, which results in unique light reflection effects.
