DORMA success continues in Ireland

Originally established in Dublin as DORMA Door Controls Ltd in 1979, DORMA Ireland Ltd has grown to become market leader for door controls and is very well known for their glass fittings and automatic solutions throughout the 26 counties that make up the Republic.
The name change reflects the company’s ambition to grow the business in other key product areas as well – including door service and maintenance. Some recent projects in and around Dublin demonstrate the wide range of access solutions available from the company.

Vodafone's Irish corporate headquarters at Central Park, Leopardstown, are designed to make life as comfortable as possible for the staff and encourage a stimulating and dynamic work environment. Enormous attention was paid to each aspect of the interior design detail and that included the door hardware and controls. Every interior door is fitted with a DORMA ITS 96 concealed cam-action door closer. Unlike conventional rack and pinion closers DORMA’s cam-action closer has a unique linear drive mechanism and heart shaped cam. This means that when the door is opened the opening force falls away rapidly after the first few degrees resulting in little resistance throughout the opening cycle – and the same happens on closing. more…
