Panic over! DORMA delivers an affordable blend of quality, style and versatility

DORMA’s PHA2000 and PHB3000 modular panic hardware systems offer door fabricators an unrivalled combination of quality, style and performance at an affordable price.

Ideal for public buildings such as schools, hospitals and offices, the PHA2000 crossbar and PHB3000 push-bar systems can be configured for single, double or multi-point locking with horizontal, vertical and lateral latch options. Both models are available with die-cast zinc – or, for added security, steel anti-thrust – latches.

The PHA2000 is a crossbar design that is ideal for narrow-framed and fully-glazed doors whereas the PHB3000 push-bar is perfect for flush-fitting to solid timber doors. Both systems feature DORMA’s award-winning Contur design concept which boasts clean lines, elegant proportions and distinctive cubic styling. Both are available in a full range of standard colours as well as a stainless steel finish.

Unlike most rival systems, the PHA2000 and PHB3000 are both supplied fitted with an optional ‘dogging’ device as standard. This holds the latch in its retracted position, allowing the door to be opened and closed freely. In buildings where this could compromise security, the dogging device is easily omitted.

A major advantage of the systems’ modular design is its versatility which allows a variety of locking configurations. The modular design means that the door preparation is the same whether fitting PHA Push Bar, PHA Exit Pad or PHB Touch Bar saving production time. Fully interchangeable, they also use the same external fittings for ease of ordering and reduced storage.

The panic hardware systems are CE marked to EN1125 and are suitable for fire, smoke check and standard doors. The low-profile design means that the standard projection from the door face is less than 100 mm for both units. For non-public buildings European standard EN 179 allows the fitting of DORMA’s Contur-designed Exit Pad, an unobtrusive push pad panic system utilising the same locking components as the PHA2000 and PHB3000.

Though competitively priced and easy to fit, DORMA’s panic hardware systems lack none of the quality and style for which the company is renowned. Between them, the PHA2000 and PHB3000 can be tailored for use in almost any application and, for door fabricators, the use of modular components has the advantage of consistent door preparation along with reduced stock components.
