Newly revamped DORMA Showbus hits the road for 2009

A completely revamped DORMA Showbus takes to the road this winter to showcase the latest developments from the Door Controls division, along with many of the leading products from the Automatics and Glass ranges. During 2009 the travelling showroom will complete a tour of the DORMA regions in the UK and Ireland every 3 months, inviting customers specifiers and building and maintenance engineers to come aboard and learn more about door controls and their selection with regard to meeting requirements in terms of Fire Safety and Accessibility.

The newly refurbished Showbus, a customised 40-foot articulated lorry, features dedicated DORMA graphics on the exterior, while the internal fit-out features twenty-one fully operable doors, white walls and sophisticated LCD presentation screens to provide an interior conducive to learning. Ash hardwood timber doors and frames have been incorporated to fully demonstrate the practical advantages of DORMA door closers and floor springs– particularly the cam-action range and their low opening forces, even on narrow door widths.

This interactive mobile showroom encourages customers to consider issues such as: which door control options are ideal for improving access, in particular for those with physical disabilities, both into and around a building; how the DORMA cam action range offers unique benefits over other door closers; is the ITS96 concealed closer really invisible; how effective is panic hardware – and a whole lot more.

DORMA’s sales team will also be on hand to provide expert advice, guidance and training on any topic and arranging CPD from the wide range of sessions available from DORMA can also be discussed.
